I hear so much and read so much about homosexuality, it seems to be the subject nowadays. Don't you think we should stop and think about what the truth is?
The Sept./Oct. 2003 issue of “end time” magazine published a statement made by the Episcopal church after ordaining a gay bishop. “We rejoice that a barrier of sexual orientation has been crossed in our church: The election to the Episcopacy of an openly gay person living in a committed relationship.” The elected gay bishop made the following statement: “I feel like God is doing a new thing in the world.”
It is truly sad that many ministers [so-called], pastors, teachers, etc. who profess to be God's ambassadors are themselves estranged from the truth of God's word. The preacher said in Eccl. 1:9, “The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.” There is nothing new. God has not changed. He has never placed His approval upon sin, nor will He! That would annul the very reason for our Lord being sacrificed upon Calvary: That mankind might be redeemed.
Let's stop leaning to our own understanding (Prov. 3:5) and trying to justify ourselves. Let us look into the word of God for answers. God placed in the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. Read Romans chapter one verse 23 and on down, and you'll see God is against men with men and women with women changing the natural use which is against nature. God gave them over to reprobate mind.
Come on people, homosexuality is sin. I'm not judging, the Bible already has.
The Church of God accepts the whole word of God rightly divided, and thus since the Bible speaks against homosexuality, The Church is against it. There are those who say, “the word homosexual is not in the Bible.” True, but neither is a lot of the words we use today. The word “homosexual” did not come into the English languish until 1892. Two hundred and eighty-one years after the King James Version was printed in 1611, and around 1800 years after the last canonical book of the Bible was wrote.
A New Testament word which means “homosexual” is, “effeminate.” See 1 Cor. 6:9, 10
And if one possesses basic reading skills, they should be able to figure out what, “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination” (Lev. 18:22) is talking about. One of the ten Commandments is, “Thou shalt not commit adultery.” (Ex. 20:14) Adultery is having lust or sexual relations outside of a God ordained marriage. It needs to be stated then, that since God condemns homosexuality as sin, and never has intended men with men, and women with women: God will never ordain a same sex marriage. God ordained the institution of holy matrimony as one man and one woman made one flesh by covenant.
The biblical record of God's anger against homosexuality is highlighted in the story of Sodom and Gomorrah in Genesis 19. The men of the city wanted Lot to bring the two strangers who were angels unawares out that they may know them (have forcible sex with them). Lot offered up his two daughters, but the men wanted the men. God seeing this perverse behavior long before had already pronounced His judgment upon the cities, (Gen. 18:20-33) and revealed His judgment unto the righteous Abraham. If not for Abraham Lot and his daughters would not have survived. Both Gen. 18:20 and Lam. 4:6 call the perverseness of Sodom and Gomorrah; sin. See also 2 Pet. 2:6.
When people would rather come out of the closet than clean it; is a sign that the judgment of God is about to fall.
Amen
